About

Welcome to Archaeology 2030. Launched in December 2020, this is the collaborative product of people from a wide range of disciplines and in a variety of roles working in, or related to archaeology.

Archaeology 2030 sets out recommendations to deliver our vision for archaeology in Northern Ireland:

Originally convened as ‘The Way Forward for Archaeology’, the aim was to conduct a review of the current position in Northern Ireland, and through a series of workshops, survey and dialogue, to develop a sector-wide, strategic approach, with recommendations for the future. This culminated in the development and publication of the Archaeology 2030.
