Project Board

The delivery of Archaeology 2030 is led by a cross-sectoral project board, whose members represent different groups within the archaeological community in Northern Ireland and beyond.

Convened as a sub-committee of the Historic Monuments Council (HMC) which has a statutory role as an advisory body to the Department for Communities (including HED), the Project Board was established in 2021 to oversee the delivery of Archaeology 2030. In line with the Terms of Reference, the Project Board will act to co-ordinate delivery, ensure a shared focus and maintain momentum for Archaeology 2030.
